About this program
The Master of Occupational Hygiene is a postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus for science, engineering and health science graduates, accredited by the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists. Students learn the consequences of workplace exposures, how to measure them quantitatively and what controls reduce risk, across hazards including airborne dusts, gases and vapours, noise, vibration, radiation and biological agents. Graduates work as occupational hygienists in mining, manufacturing, construction, government and consulting.

Admissions
To be eligible for entry, you'll need: a bachelor's degree in science, engineering or health sciences, with two or more first-year, university-level science courses that cover human anatomy, human physiology, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and/or physics, or to have successfully completed at least 3.5 years of study towards an approved qualification at an overseas partner institution, including research requirements, with a formal pathway to the Master of Occupational Hygiene. You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.
