Play your part in creating a more sustainable future with UniSQ's Bachelor of Environmental Science. Develop expertise and skills in areas such as environmental science, ecology, climate, biodiversity, conservation, wildlife and natural resource management. Be workplace-ready, gaining skills and hands-on industry experience through practical field work and site visits, laboratory activities, industry placement, and interactions with a range of UniSQ’s renowned research centres and institutes. An important focus of the degree is gaining an understanding of Indigenous relationships with country. Learn how these knowledges and perspectives are incorporated into resource management practices. Choose to specialise in one of the following majors - climate and water science, ecology and conservation, or wildlife management. You have the freedom to create a unique skillset by selecting other majors, electives and interdisciplinary minors and courses to best suit your own interests and career goals, such as climatology, journalism, biodiversity, and indigenous studies.

Admissions
ATAR 62.00 This is the lowest adjusted score to which UniSQ made an offer in Trimester 1, 2025. Meeting the lowest adjusted score doesn't guarantee admission. Subject pre-requisite: General Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C) or equivalent. To study this degree, we assume you have sound knowledge in: English (Units 3 & 4, C), or equivalent We assume that your knowledge is equivalent to a grade C or higher in Units 3 and 4 at high school level (typically studied in Year 12). Find out more about assumed knowledge . It is also recommended that you have studied: Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C) and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C), or equivalent. If students do not have the recommended Mathematical Methods level for entry then they will be required to undertake MAT1000 Mathematics Fundamentals as an elective.
