About this program
The Bachelor of Advanced Computing at the University of Sydney is accredited by the Australian Computer Society and lets students specialise in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Development or Computational Data Science, combined with a shared pool of more than 100 majors. Core units build the design principles and programming skills behind technologies from intelligent drones and virtual reality to cybersecurity and the Internet of Things, alongside an Advanced Computing major and elective units.
Students can add a minor or second major from the disciplinary pool or elsewhere in the University. Graduates move into roles such as big data analyst, computer programmer, cybersecurity analyst, software architect and software project manager. Sydney is ranked first in Australia for computer science and information systems.
