About this program
The University of Sydney Master of Economics is a two-year full-time coursework degree with specialisations of 18 credit points in Economics, Econometrics and Financial Economics; students can complete up to three specialisations. There are two intakes a year, in February and August, and most units run in the evening from 6 to 9 pm, with occasional intensive options, which suits students who want to combine study with part-time work. Admission requires a bachelor degree with a minimum credit (65 per cent) average, or completion of the embedded Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Economics with a credit average. Students granted reduced volume of learning can finish in 1.5 years. International tuition is about A$62,300 per year. Graduates work as professional economists in government, business, banking and consulting.
