About this program
The Master of International Law at the University of Sydney is a 1-year postgraduate coursework master's degree. International law concerns the relations between states and between nations. As a student of International Law, students examine the international rules governing the world as a whole, led by the esteemed faculty. Students build the critical knowledge and skills needed to negotiate legal and policy issues affecting relations between states, between states and international organisations as well as between states and individuals. Students complete a core unit in international law, along with elective units, including a unit from the Department of Government and International Relations or the Centre for International Security Studies.
