About this program

The Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney is a graduate-entry degree combining clinical education and research training across the core areas of physiotherapy practice. Teaching takes a patient-centred, evidence-based approach, with hands-on clinical placements at urban public and private clinics and rural health settings that give students real-world experience with patients from professional practice week one.
Graduates take on direct client care, education, research, management and policy roles across hospitals, private practice, sports facilities, schools and aged care. Sydney is ranked fourth globally for sports-related subjects and in the top 20 universities worldwide.

Admissions

To be eligible to apply you will need to fulfill the following criteria; A bachelor's degree, master's degree, or a PhD from an Australian institution or equivalent, completed before 1 January of the year in which the applicant intends to commence the Doctor of Physiotherapy. Academic performance in an eligible degree - the standard requirement to be eligible to apply is a minimum average mark of 65 or equivalent. Rural applicants as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants must have a minimum average mark of 60 or equivalent. For domestic applicants, the Indigenous Facilitated Entry Scheme and the Rural Applicants Facilitated Entry Scheme are available for eligible applicants.
