About this program
The Master of Science in Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) at the University of Sydney is a fully online, 48 credit point degree for health professionals and clinical researchers who want deep training in clinical research methods. Twelve credit points of core units, a capstone and 30 credit points of electives give students structured, end-to-end research skills from study design and biostatistics through to translating findings into practice and policy.

Admissions
Admission to the course requires: a bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline with first or second class honours from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or a pass bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification. Applicants must have completed work equivalent to a first or second class honours bachelor's degree or pass a preliminary examination(s) as prescribed by the Faculty; or completion of the first 4 years of an undergraduate medical degree that is accredited by the Australian Medical Council, and a letter of recommendation from the head of clinical school/medical program supporting concurrent enrolment while completing degree requirements. All students entering the program are expected to have some clinical experience.
