About this program
The Master of Speech Language Pathology at the University of Sydney is a graduate-entry degree open to candidates from any prior discipline who want to assess and treat communication and swallowing difficulties across all ages and cultures. Core units in speech pathology theory and practice lead to eligibility for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia on graduation.
Graduates work with children and adults experiencing difficulties with speech, language comprehension, reading, writing, voice, stuttering or swallowing, across hospitals, private practice, schools and early childhood services. Sydney is ranked 25th in the world for life sciences and medicine.

Admissions
To be eligible to apply you will need to fulfil the following criteria: An Australian bachelor's degree, master's or PhD from an Australian institution or equivalent. A minimum average mark of 60 out of 100 or equivalent (GPA of 4.5 out of 7). This does not guarantee an offer as the places are limited and offers are made based on academic merit. Evidence of any other minimum standards specified by the Faculty of Medicine and Health. For domestic applicants, the Indigenous Facilitated Entry Scheme and the Rural Applicants Facilitated Entry Scheme are available for eligible applicants.
