About this program
The Diploma of Legal Studies at the University of Tasmania provides exposure to the study of law without a full commitment to a law degree. It suits people planning a role that would benefit from legal knowledge, as well as those who already use legal knowledge in their career. Alongside introductory units covering the foundations of law and legal reasoning, students choose units targeting one or more specialist areas. It takes a minimum of one year full-time and is offered in Hobart, Launceston and online.
