Course structure
- The Master of Economic Geology requires completion of 200 credit points: 150 credit points of coursework units and 50 credit points of either a Research Thesis (Research Pathway, units KEA724 and KEA725) or capstone units (Professional Pathway, any two of KEA709, KEA710, KEA711, KEA724). All students must complete KEA712

- KEA707or KEA708. The remaining three units may be chosen from KEA707

Admissions
Requires prior completion of an AQF7/8 (or equivalent) undergraduate degree, specifically: (i) a Bachelor of Science/Applied Science (Honours) majoring in geoscience or a closely related discipline, or (ii) a Bachelor of Science/Applied Science majoring in geoscience (or closely related) plus at least two years' professional experience as a geoscientist in the minerals industry or government, or (iii) a Graduate Certificate in Economic Geology (K5F). Applicants lacking a geoscience BSc but with two years' relevant professional experience, or with a BSc without Honours but lacking the two years' experience, may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Economic Geology (K5F) first and continue into the Master's on completion. Applicants must provide previous academic transcripts, and those relying partly on professional experience must supply a CV and two professional referees.
