About this program
The Bachelor of Creative Production in Music and Sound Design at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) covers audio production, songwriting, composition and creating soundtracks for screen through core subjects on sound and the moving image, ethical creative practice and entrepreneurship. Students complete a self-directed sound project and can add sub-majors from other creative disciplines.
Study takes three years full-time. Graduates work in sound design and music production for games, television, advertising, film and digital media. English requirements are IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing.

Admissions
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. The Faculty has an optional Music and Sound Design Portfolio Scheme which awards up to five (5) adjustment points towards the selection rank, based on an applicant’s portfolio of music and sound design work.
