About this program
The Graduate Certificate in Legal Studies at UTS is for non-law graduates seeking to understand the legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to their professions. Students gain insight into how the law affects their field, equipping them to make informed decisions and manage legal risks. It is particularly useful for accountants, auditors, business development and compliance managers, engineers, architects, financial advisers, IT experts, law enforcement officers, paralegals, policy officers, property developers and public sector managers. Students who want to qualify as a lawyer can apply to transfer into the UTS Juris Doctor on completion of three core subjects, with completed subjects credited toward the JD.
