About this program
The Graduate Certificate in TESOL at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is an initial teaching qualification for people who want to teach English as an additional language to adults, to primary and secondary students, or to international students in Australia and overseas. It also gives qualified school teachers a specialisation in the area.
Students complete four core subjects on language, multilingualism and TESOL methodology, plus a supervised practicum in a real teaching setting. Study takes one semester full-time. English requirements are IELTS Academic 7.0 overall.
