About this program
The Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is a one-year, full-time course taught at the City campus in Ultimo (CRICOS 108844C). It covers data analytics, data visualisation, machine learning and neural networks, with hands-on AI projects drawn from different industries.
The course suits two groups: IT and computing graduates who want to specialise in AI, and graduates from other disciplines who want to retrain. It is the first stage of an articulated program, so successful students can continue into the UTS Master of Artificial Intelligence. Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for the Graduate Certificate in IT (Data Analytics stream). UTS positions the course as preparation for roles such as junior data analyst and AI or machine learning engineer. English requirements are IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing.

Completed Australian bachelor's degree, or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology or Mathematical Sciences OR Completed Australian associate degree or advanced diploma (AQF 6), or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology.
