About this program

The Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies at UTS is for non-law graduates who need a solid grasp of legal and regulatory frameworks to excel in their career, particularly in human resources, accounting, auditing and compliance, business development, financial advising or property development. Students study three core subjects across the Australian legal system, including foundations of law, contract law and constitutional law, then choose electives to specialise in areas relevant to their work. Students who want to qualify as a lawyer can apply to transfer into the UTS Juris Doctor on completion of three core subjects, with completed subjects credited toward the JD.
