About this program
The Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is for non-law graduates who want a broader grounding in Australian law than the graduate certificate. Students complete three core subjects on the Australian legal system, then choose options subjects such as discrimination law, corporate governance, deceptive trade practices and public health law.
The course takes one year full-time and does not lead to admission as a lawyer. It gives professionals legal knowledge relevant to their sector and articulates into the UTS Master of Legal Studies. English requirements are IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing.

Completed Australian bachelor's degree, or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent The qualification must be in a field of study other than law or, if the qualification is in a legal field of study, it shall not be an academic qualification for legal practice.
