University of Technology Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
The UTS Juris Doctor is a three-year graduate-entry law degree for people whose first degree is in a discipline other than law. It runs to 144 credit points, with 15 compulsory core law subjects plus law options and a legal theory subject, and requires IELTS 6.5 with a writing score of 6.0. Completing the degree meets the academic requirements for admission as a lawyer in New South Wales; practical legal training, such as the UTS Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice, is completed separately. International student visa holders must study full-time on campus within the standard duration. Graduates work as solicitors and barristers, in government and corporate legal teams, and in policy and compliance. Indicative international tuition is around A$52,200 per year.
