About this program
The Juris Doctor Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), also called JD Accelerate, combines the Juris Doctor with the practical legal training needed to practise law in NSW, so graduates can be admission-ready in about three years. It is an AQF Level 9 master's degree.
Students complete the JD core stream, options and legal theory subjects, plus practical studies including a 15-day work placement. The course is accredited by the Legal Profession Admission Board and satisfies both the academic and practical legal training requirements for admission to the Supreme Court of NSW. English requirements are IELTS Academic 7.0 overall.
