About this program
The Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) trains students to use evidence-based exercise programs to prevent, treat and manage health conditions, injuries and disabilities. Study covers neurological disorders, musculoskeletal and cardiometabolic conditions, cancer, and severe mental illness, with clinical placements across the health system.
The degree is accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia as a qualification leading to registration as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Study takes about 18 months full-time. Graduates work in hospitals, rehabilitation centres and private practice. English requirements are IELTS Academic 7.0 overall.

Admissions
Applicants must have completed an Australian bachelor's degree (or higher), or an overseas equivalent, in exercise science with a minimum GPA of 5/7, and be CURRENT in one of the following Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) requirements: Accreditation as an Exercise Scientist (AES) with ESSA OR An approved or partially approved Graduate Entry Assessment from ESSA OR An approved Legacy Pathway Assessment from ESSA OR Completed a course in exercise science that is fully or provisionally accredited by ESSA.
