About this program
The Master of Genetic Counselling at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) prepares students to assess genetic health risks, counsel individuals and families, and support decision-making. It is delivered mostly online, with interactive asynchronous learning, weekly live classes and a week-long on-campus block each session, plus supervised clinical placements and research training in evidence-based care.
The degree is accredited by the Human Genetics Society of Australasia. Study takes two years full-time. Graduates work as genetic counsellors in clinical genetics services, hospitals and research settings. English requirements are IELTS Academic 7.0 overall.
