About this program
The Master of Nursing (Research) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is a supervised research degree of about two years full-time for nurses building a research career. Students design their program with a supervisor and the UTS Faculty of Health, investigate a chosen nursing topic over multiple years, present to expert panels, and submit a thesis or a practice-led project such as a policy proposal.
The degree develops research design, analysis and communication skills for careers in clinical research, nursing practice improvement, policy and doctoral study. English requirements are IELTS Academic 7.0 overall.

Admissions
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate research studies. Applicants are required to have authorisation to practise as a registered nurse. Applicants are also required to submit a research proposal and have the agreement of a suitable supervisor at the time of application.
