About this program
The Master of Teaching in Primary Education at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is a graduate-entry initial teacher education degree. Students complete 30 credit points of core primary education subjects covering inclusive education, Indigenous knowledges, literacy, numeracy, digital learning and classroom management, plus 48 credit points across the Key Learning Areas, and professional experience in partner schools.
The course is accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority as a primary teaching qualification. Study takes two years full-time. English requirements are IELTS Academic 7.5 overall, in line with NESA teacher standards.

Admissions
Completed Australian bachelor's degree, bachelor's (honours), master's degree or doctorate, or overseas equivalent AND A minimum of 1 year full-time, or equivalent part-time, study (normally 8 units of study) that is relevant to one or more Key Learning Areas of the primary school curriculum (this is a prerequisite requirement from the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Students who have studied overseas may be required to meet additional requirements set by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) in order to qualify as teachers in NSW.
