The University of Western Australia Bachelor of Psychology is a three-year degree of 144 points (24 six-point units, normally eight per year) built around a 14-unit extended major in psychology. The degree is accredited at Level 1 by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), and an APAC-accredited honours year serves as the fourth year of psychology needed to progress toward registration. Students satisfy any prerequisites for their chosen majors, and combined degrees pairing psychology with arts, commerce or science are also available. A psychology degree prepares graduates for a wide range of work, from personnel selection and market research to human-computer interface design, and for postgraduate professional training in industrial and organisational psychology, business psychology, clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology.
