About this program

The Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Western Australia is delivered by Western Australia's only tertiary dental school, which has trained dentists for more than 75 years. The course consists of 20 units within modularised streams covering comprehensive clinical care, developmental and behavioural sciences, diagnostic and surgical sciences, and restorative and rehabilitative sciences. Core modules cover fundamental dental and medical sciences, while clinical practice modules cover patient care, preventive and conservative dentistry, restorative dentistry, and child and adolescent dental health. Graduates are qualified to register and practise as dentists.
