About this program
The University of Wollongong Master of Nursing prepares nurses for senior roles in nursing and the health system. It requires 48 credit points: 24 credit points of core subjects plus 24 credit points made up of electives or, for students who choose it, a major research project. Entry requires a Bachelor of Nursing of at least three years or a Graduate Certificate in Nursing from a recognised institution, and international students need IELTS 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in every band. This is a post-registration degree and does not by itself lead to registration; those seeking to register as a nurse take the Bachelor of Nursing or the Master of Nursing (Pre-Registration). Indicative international tuition is around A$35,600 per year. UOW also offers specialist graduate certificates and master degrees in areas such as mental health nursing and gerontology.
