About this program
The Master of Occupational Health and Safety Extension at the University of Wollongong provides an integrated teaching and research program, giving students the opportunity to focus on health promotion or occupational health and safety research and to address complex workplace issues through specialised technical knowledge and application. Students study advanced WHS risk management, workplace hazards and hygiene, occupational health and safety systems, applied human factors and ergonomics, and industrial epidemiology and toxicology. Graduates work as senior WHS professionals, researchers and consultants.

A recognised bachelor's degree with an equivalent average mark of 50, OR A Master of Occupational Health and Safety with an equivalent average mark of 50, OR A Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety with an equivalent average mark of 50, OR Either a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Hygiene with an equivalent average mark of at least 65. Applicants with other relevant qualifications and/or work experience may also be considered.
