About this program
The Master of Teaching (Primary) at the University of Wollongong is for university graduates from non-teaching courses who want to become primary school teachers from Kindergarten to Year 6. The degree produces high-quality teachers with an understanding of diversity in the classroom and strong connections to school communities. Students build teaching skills through professional experience immersion programs starting within the first month and continuing in weekly blocks, completing 60 days of professional experience including the option of a placement in a rural or remote area of New South Wales. Graduates are qualified to teach in primary schools.
