About this program

The Bachelor of Design / Bachelor of Education (Secondary) at UNSW Sydney is a four-year, 192 unit of credit program for intending secondary school teachers, and is a nationally accredited pre-service qualification. It covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of education, including 80 days of supervised professional experience across two secondary schools. Students choose a design specialisation that shapes their teaching accreditation: the Computational Design specialisation leads to accreditation in Design and Technology and Enterprise Computing, the Industrial Design specialisation to Design and Technology with Graphics and Multimedia Technology, and the Integrated Design specialisation to Visual Arts with various additional teaching areas.
