About this program
UNSW's Bachelor of Design (Honours) offers flexible, wide-ranging specialisations across Computational Design, Industrial Design and Integrated Design, letting students craft a design career around their own goals and the challenges society will face in the future rather than following one fixed design track. The practical, hands-on studio culture gives students access to making workshops, digital facilities and advanced research labs, learning directly from award-winning entrepreneurs, studio-based designers, industry professionals and futurists across two campuses, Paddington and Kensington. Conceptual, technical and theoretical coursework combine to prepare genuinely job-ready graduates capable of contributing imaginatively and thoughtfully to real design challenges. It suits students who want design training with genuine specialisation choice and hands-on studio access, rather than a narrow single-discipline design degree, positioning graduates for careers spanning product, digital, computational and industrial design.

Admissions
Students must have completed the UNSW Bachelor of Design or other cognate recognised Level 7 qualification. Entry to Honours requires a WAM of 70 or higher (or equivalent) in the relevant Level 7 qualification prior to entry. Entry is subject to resources and the approval of the Head of School.
