Diploma in Engineering
UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
The Diploma in Engineering at UNSW Sydney is a 12-month program that leads into a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a career in an engineering discipline or related area. Students complete eight courses required by their chosen major or specialisation, which satisfy the first-year requirements for that discipline and attract credit toward the undergraduate degree. Courses provide a solid background in science along with engineering courses that involve real-life situations, including the design and construction of engineering prototypes. They match the content and outcomes of first-year UNSW courses but are delivered at a slower pace with more face-to-face contact hours, helping students adjust to university learning through lectures, laboratories and problem-solving workshops. On completion students receive credit for the first year and progress into the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours). It is delivered at the UNSW Kensington campus in Sydney by UNSW College.
