Graduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases Intelligence
UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
UNSW's Graduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases Intelligence builds on the shorter Graduate Certificate with deeper training in preventing and controlling infectious diseases, covering epidemiology, outbreak investigation and disease intelligence in more depth alongside specialty options in areas like HIV control, immunisation policy and infection prevention in healthcare settings. It suits health professionals wanting more substantial training than a certificate provides before committing to the full Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence, as well as those launching a career in disease surveillance and intelligence who need a credible, substantial credential. The diploma functions as a genuine middle option between the shorter certificate and the full master's, with credit generally carrying forward for students who continue their studies. Given ongoing concern about emerging infectious disease threats globally, this qualification speaks directly to a growing area of public health need.
