Master of Education

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Master of Education deepens working education professionals' understanding of teaching, learning and educational systems through genuine engagement with educational theory, research and practice, building the capacity to critically analyse educational issues and reflect on professional practice across varied contexts. The program supports not just classroom teachers but curriculum specialists, educational leaders, policymakers and learning support professionals, with flexible specialisations and electives letting students tailor their studies to their specific professional context. It's important to note this program doesn't provide teaching accreditation for NSW or Australian schools; students seeking that qualification should look at the Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching programs instead, and fully online study isn't available to international students on a student visa. It suits practising education professionals who want deeper theoretical and research grounding to complement existing teaching or education experience.
