About this program
The Master of Health Professions Education (Research) at UNSW Sydney is designed for teachers and educational administrators in the health professions who want to develop their research skills. Candidates complete an original investigation under the direction of a supervisor over a minimum of three academic terms full time, or four terms part time or external, and submit a thesis embodying the results. The program can be undertaken internally at a campus, teaching hospital or associated research facility, or externally, with external candidates required to spend a minimum period in the school. Candidates enrol for between 96 and 144 units of credit. The degree is offered by the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the UNSW Kensington campus in Sydney and suits health professionals moving toward research and academic roles in medical and health education.
