About this program
UNSW's Master of Public Health (Research) is designed as advanced research training, requiring candidates to submit a thesis based on original investigation and to have at least three years of prior experience in health services before starting. Candidates enrol full-time, part-time or externally at an affiliated research facility, with progress reviewed annually by the faculty's Higher Degree Committee and supervision provided by a full-time UNSW academic. Admissions
A candidate for the degree shall: (a) Have an MBBS or other medical degree (including such qualifications from another country), or (b) Have been awarded the degree of Bachelor, and have relevant experience. In addition to (a) or (b), the candidate must have support from the proposed supervisor and the relevant Head of School.
