The Master of Applied Research at Victoria University suits bachelor graduates from any discipline who want a structured entry into research in health or sport. The course begins with core training in research methods, ethics and project design, plus disciplinary study relevant to the student's chosen field. On passing the core units with a 70 percent average, students undertake their own supervised research project within one of VU's focus areas. Research can be pursued within the Institute for Health and Sport across disciplines such as biomedical sciences, biotechnology, nursing, food science, sport science and social sciences, and VU is ranked above world standard in sport and health fields.
