About this program
Become a force for good When you choose the Bachelor of Policing at Western, you gain access to a research facility, as well as the opportunity to practice realistic crime scene investigation and collect evidence in the real world. Our Policing degree gives you an advanced knowledge of modern policing theory and practice, including a broad understanding of the role of police in society. You also develop an appreciation of the diverse nature of Australian culture, enhance your analytical and problem-solving skills, and develop a client-focused approach to serving the community. Early Exit: Students may exit this program on completion of 160 credit points of Policing subjects with a 1930 Associate Degree in Policing.

On both MLTSSL and CSOL, but a positive skills assessment is not the same as being able to practise. You must first be admitted to an Australian state legal profession, which for an overseas or JD graduate means passing the assessed academic subjects, completing Practical Legal Training, and being admitted by the state Supreme Court, before the occupation is realistically usable for a visa.

Local and International applicants who are applying through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) will find details of minimum English proficiency requirements and acceptable proof on the UAC website. Special Requirements Prerequisites Students enrolled in JUST 3012 Policing Leaders Internship (by selection only; 20 student max.) are required to receive a clear National Police Check before placement with NSW Police Force, the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM), or other.
