That's why we've built our Master of Teaching (Secondary) around giving you practical tools to provide inspiration and direction to high-school students. Offering a mix of on-campus theory and school-based placements, this program helps you turn your specialist undergraduate degree into an inspiring career path. The aim is to produce teachers with strong academic knowledge and skills, excellence in professional practice, commitment to equity and social justice, and dedication to personal and professional growth. The dual degree of an undergraduate degree and postgraduate teaching degree gives you enormous flexibility when it comes to your career. You can apply for roles as a secondary school teacher with government and non-government schools in Australia and most other countries. You can also pursue career interests in the field of your undergraduate degree, like education policy, curriculum development and education administration or even generalist positions, since many of the skills from your teaching degree - teamwork and leadership, communication and organisation - are highly valued by employers. Finally, to help you juggle your busy work, career and personal life.

Admissions
Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree, or higher, in any discipline. Applicants who have undertaken studies overseas may have to provide proof of proficiency in English. Overseas qualifications must be deemed by the Australian Education International - National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR) to be equivalent to Australian qualifications in order to be considered by UAC and Western Sydney University.
