About this program
The Associate Degree in Tourism gives students a solid understanding of the structure and operating environment of the tourism industry, developing analytical skills, critical thinking, problem solving and communication alongside the fundamental principles and theories of tourism. Students study operations and risk management, economic and global impacts and marketing, underpinned by field trips to Victorian tourist destinations and attractions and direct learning from industry leaders. Graduates are equipped to pursue further academic study, including progression into Angliss's own tourism degrees, or move directly into the tourism industry.

Admissions
William Angliss Institute's international entry-requirements page sets the academic bar for Bachelor-level courses as an Australian Year 12 qualification with an ATAR/TER of 50 or higher, a recognised Foundation Studies program completed with a credit average, the International Baccalaureate Diploma (minimum 25 points over six subjects), or a Cambridge GCE Advanced Level Certificate with grade D or higher in 3 Advanced Level subjects. As an AQF Level 6 associate degree sitting directly below Angliss's Bachelor's degrees in the same subject area, this course is assessed against the same tier.
