Adelaide University, Adelaide, SA, Australia
About this program
A four-year, 192 unit design degree in interior architecture with integrated honours, taught on the Adelaide city campus and built around progressive design studios: Foundation, Materials, Detail, Inclusion and Workplace. Alongside the studios, students take history, construction, digital documentation, professional practice, sustainability and research methods. The structure is 162 core units, 12 work-integrated learning units and 18 electives. The degree aligns with the four-year standards of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers and the Interior Design/Interior Architecture Educators Association. Entry requires a secondary qualification equivalent to SACE and IELTS 6.5. Graduates work as interior designers and design managers, and in adaptive reuse, sustainability consulting and placemaking, with postgraduate research a further option. It suits students who want a professionally aligned interior design degree with a strong studio focus.
