About this program
The Diploma in Building Studies at Adelaide University is a one-year program that prepares students for university study while exploring a career in the construction industry. Students are introduced to the core principles of building while deepening their communication skills and cultural competence, exploring topics such as low-rise construction, land surveying, structures, construction economics and procurement, and digital construction fundamentals, with an elective course to tailor their studies. On successful completion, students can enrol directly in the Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) and shorten their degree completion time by one year, working towards roles such as construction manager and site manager.
