About this program
The ANU Bachelor of Economics is a three-year degree of 144 units, normally four courses per semester for 24 courses in total, with at least 14 courses (84 units) in the College of Business and Economics and 10 courses (60 units) chosen from across ANU. No major or minor is required: students use their electives freely, and those who want an economics minor recorded on their transcript (econometrics, strategy and behaviour, or economic history) arrange it with the college. Admission is competitive, and applicants must meet program-specific academic and English requirements. ANU economics graduates are recruited heavily by the Treasury, the Reserve Bank, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Productivity Commission and firms that need economic analysis, as well as international agencies such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. International tuition is about A$57,700 per year.
