Bachelor of Design in Architecture
Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
About this program
The first stage of Bond's architecture pathway: a two-year studio degree (27 subjects, trimester intakes in January, May, and September) at the Abedian School of Architecture, where each student gets an assigned desk in an open-plan studio. Learning is project-based, with access to computing and fabrication labs, a robotics lab, workshops, 3D printers, large-format laser cutters, CNC routers, and industrial robot arms.
This degree alone does not make someone an architect. Graduates progress to Bond's Master of Architecture (about one year and four months), which is the accredited qualification for registration in Australia and elsewhere, but entry to the master's is by application and not automatic. The program includes work-integrated learning and twice-yearly student exhibitions that build the portfolio.

Admissions
Completion of Australian Year 12 (or equivalent); Bond applies its own admission score rather than a standard ATAR cut-off, and offers pathway entry through the Diploma or College Foundation Program.
