About this program

A two-year degree (six semesters, 24 subjects) covering the full property cycle: development and feasibility, land economy, valuation, property finance and investment, corporate real estate, urban and sustainable development, property rights and taxation, and spatial information systems. The structure is heavily prescribed, with around 19 compulsory subjects and only two open electives.

The degree is accredited by the Australian Property Institute and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and meets the education requirement of the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland, so it is a direct route to working as a valuer. The final-semester capstone is a group investigation of a real urban development project, and the faculty arranges placements with developers and valuation firms.
