Master of Actuarial Practice
Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
About this program
The longer of Bond's two actuarial master's degrees, six semesters (two years) at three subjects a semester, built for students without a related undergraduate background. The first four semesters mirror the Master of Actuarial Science content, from financial mathematics and mathematical statistics through stochastic processes, corporate finance and asset-liability modelling; the final two semesters add the Actuarial Control Cycle, data analytics and an actuarial research essay.
It is accredited by the Actuaries Institute and covers all university components of both Part I (Foundation Program) and Part II (Actuary Program), which is the main reason to choose it over the shorter Actuarial Science degree. Teaching uses the Bond FinTech Hub and a Bloomberg certification pathway. It suits people who enjoy mathematics and want the fullest set of professional exemptions from a single coursework degree, heading toward insurance, superannuation, risk or actuarial consulting.
