Master of Architecture (Professional)
Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
About this program
The work-integrated learning version of Bond's Master of Architecture. The academic core is identical: project-based design studios ending in a master's thesis studio, entered from a prior design or architecture degree, and accredited by the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia and the Australian Institute of Architects so it counts toward registration as an architect. The Professional version adds a compulsory 20-week Work Integrated Learning component in the final semester, a supervised placement in an Australian practice plus a professional portfolio, taken after the taught studios are finished. That adds roughly one semester to the degree. Students get an assigned 24-hour workspace in the Abedian School of Architecture. It is open to international students only; domestic students take the standard Master of Architecture. It suits students who want practice experience in Australia embedded in the professional degree.
