About this program
The Bachelor of Architectural Design at Charles Darwin University places the design studio at the centre of the curriculum, supported by history and theory, communication, materials and construction, and environmental design units. The course develops theoretical knowledge, design proficiency and communication techniques applicable to architecture and the built environment, including computer-aided design for preparing architectural drawings. Each semester builds on the previous one across projects of increasing complexity, with particular emphasis on environmental design for tropical, desert and temperate climates. Graduates work as building designers and technicians, and can continue to the Master of Architecture.
