About this program
The Graduate Diploma of Construction Management at Deakin University is a one-year postgraduate course for graduates with a built environment degree, or graduates of other disciplines with construction experience, who want to move into construction management. The course takes a case-based approach that combines theory with practice, and students work in a multidisciplinary context covering construction management, quantity surveying, building information modelling and project delivery. It provides a pathway into the Master of Construction Management. Graduates work as construction managers, project managers, contract administrators and estimators.

Admissions
To be considered for admission to this degree you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria: completion of a bachelor degree or higher in a related discipline (e.g. architecture, building, civil engineering, property, quantity surveying, building surveying, construction management); completion of a bachelor degree in any discipline plus at least 1 year of relevant work experience; at least 3 years of relevant professional work experience
