About this program

The Master of Social Work (Qualifying) at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia prepares graduates for professional social work practice in Australia and overseas. Students develop knowledge and skills in social justice, equality and human rights, working alongside individuals and communities to improve wellbeing, with a particular focus on vulnerable populations. Admissions

Applicants must hold a three year Bachelor degree in a related field other than social work, including at least one year of full time study in social sciences such as community and human services, sociology, behavioural sciences, counselling or psychological sciences, or equivalent. Alternatively, a three year Bachelor degree in any field plus one year of additional social science study in a Postgraduate Qualifying Program or AQF postgraduate course may meet entry requirements. Also satisfied by a Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline, or equivalent prior learning including at least five years of relevant professional experience.
