About this program
The Master of Professional Psychology combines coursework, including a major case study, with a substantial practical placement of at least 300 hours. The program builds specialised knowledge and skills for professional psychological practice, including ethical and legal practice, assessment and interventions across the lifespan, with practicum experience delivered through FedUni Community Psychology Services and external partner agencies. It is designed as a professional-practice qualification distinct from the more research-heavy Master of Psychology (Clinical).

Entry requirementsEntry requirements (non year 12)Successful completion of an Australian bachelor’s degree, or overseas equivalent at AQF level 8, APAC accredited sequence in psychology. Must also have a GPA 5.0 and above score. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of credit average in the fourth year of study.Applicants are requested to provide supplementary information to support their application as listed below: Interview - An in-person or online meeting with one or more course representative to discuss your suitability for the course. Students are required to complete an interview as part of the assessment of suitability for the profession of psychology Referee Report: A document provided by a designated referee that provides an assessment of your skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to the course being applied for.
