About this program
Griffith's Master of Social Work is a 160-credit-point professional qualifying degree, two years full-time, taught at the Gold Coast and online with mandatory placements and on-campus courses. Study covers social work practice, research, First Peoples and social justice, counselling, ethics and leadership, human rights, law, policy and group facilitation. The degree is accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers and is an entry qualification into the profession. Entry is a bachelor degree in a relevant discipline with at least one year of study in social and behavioural sciences, and IELTS 7.0. Graduates work across government and non-government agencies in advocacy, policy, hospital and community health, child and family welfare, youth work, aged care, disability services and community development.
