About this program

The Bachelor of Outdoor and Sustainability Education at La Trobe University takes students beyond the classroom for hands-on outdoor experience and a deeper understanding of sustainability and environmental education. Students can spend more than 70 days on field trips and extended outdoor journeys, building outdoor adventuring skills such as bushwalking and kayaking while developing an understanding of climate change research and experiential learning. Students also learn to lead groups exploring outdoor environments and to foster respect for the natural world. Graduates work in education, land and resource management, adventure tourism and environmental conservation.
